Reconnect Relationships was founded in 2019 by Tina Mathanda and Tracey Quayle. Drawing on their combined experience in psychology, counselling and mental health, they shared a vision of creating an intensive, evidence-based relationship retreat for couples seeking meaningful change.

Since then, hundreds of couples have participated in the Reconnect Relationships program. The retreat continues to evolve through ongoing clinical experience, participant feedback and current relationship research, while remaining focused on providing couples with practical skills and strategies that support lasting change.

Today, Reconnect Relationships is delivered by an experienced team of relationship therapists who are passionate about helping couples strengthen communication, deepen connection and build healthier relationships.

TINA MATHANDA

I am a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years' experience working as a psychologist across government, non-government and private practice settings. Over the past decade, I have developed a particular focus on relationship and couples therapy, helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges and build stronger, more connected relationships.

Tina Mathanda (Co-Founder) - Registered Psychologist & Qualified Relationship Therapist

Throughout my career, I have undertaken training in evidence-based approaches to relationship therapy, including the Gottman Method and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT). I am passionate about providing practical, compassionate support that helps couples better understand one another, improve communication and create lasting positive change.

In 2019, together with my colleague Tracey Quayle, I co-founded Reconnect Relationships with the vision of creating an intensive, evidence-based retreat for couples seeking meaningful change. Since then, we have welcomed over 200 couples through the program and continue to refine the retreat based on clinical experience, participant feedback and current relationship research.

It is a privilege to walk alongside couples as they reconnect, strengthen their relationship and build a foundation for the future.
